Simple. Works. Looks great once you’ve turned off the slightly too-fat logos and reduced it down to just a basic, workmanlike, text-and-folders file manager.
Ignore these pictures – it’s much, much less cluttered when you’re simply browsing files. These pics were supplied by the developers, and the developers are just showing off.
ASTRO Manager is superbly well integrated into Android. Navigate to your photos directory and you’re able to click on a picture file and email it to yourself – or upload it to Facebook or Twitter or any other social networks you’ve got installed on your Android phone. You can even ZIP and backup files, if you’re a super-hardcore “hacker” about to embark upon something DANGEROUS involving boot ROMs. A Brilliant little app. And it is, of course, free.
Why do all these amazingly talented developers do so much great work for nothing?

INQ’s Android phone is an interesting “boutique” piece of hardware, packed with unique interface customisations that go far beyond the headline Facebook integration. We like it a lot.
