Finally, we’ve stumbled across an Android App that seems like it might actually be good and of some use and that won’t get deleted 30 seconds after we put in on our mobile – Mewbox. Mewbox is a way of buying DRM-free music through your Android phone, music it mostly provides via famed online music distribution service 7 Digital.
Mewbox was initially designed for the Android-powered Archos 5 media player, but we will forgive it for that. It is here now on Android, and that is what’s important. It’s also quite important that its maker claims to have over four million songs in its catalogue available right now.
Mewbox is not yet available via the Android Market, but you can get yourself a copy of the “Vanilla” taster version direct from Mewbox itself. With thanks to The Inquirer.

INQ’s Android phone is an interesting “boutique” piece of hardware, packed with unique interface customisations that go far beyond the headline Facebook integration. We like it a lot.
