A new version of Spotify’s out today. Not that we have any intention of ever signing up for the £9.99 streaming music service when the entire Pet Shop Boys back catalogue is sitting here in a folder on our hard drive, but we understand some of you might be “into” music enough to make a Spotify sub worthwhile – hence some news about it.
It tells us on the Spotify blog that the new version (v0.3.24, on the Android Market now) supports URI-sharing so you can forward links to tune to your “mates” and open ones shared with you via social networks, has a fancy album art “swiping” thing to let you scroll through music IN STYLE, plus it runs on Android 2.0 devices like that ugly old Motorola DROID / Milestone that people puzzling rave about.

INQ’s Android phone is an interesting “boutique” piece of hardware, packed with unique interface customisations that go far beyond the headline Facebook integration. We like it a lot.
