Check this out. Monster tech blog Engadget has convinced one of the happy Google employees to take a few better and clearer shots of their Nexus One, showing us the phone and a few glimpses of its 2.1 Android build in a little more detail.
To he honest… it’s looking a bit… dull. It’s all very well having a HUGE screen, but wouldn’t it be nicer with a few more fancy illuminated buttons to play with? Or some angles? Or something… exciting? It’s bordering on the featureless, hardware wise.
Probably shouldn’t admit to being slightly underwhelmed by the look of the thing at this early stage, though, as it’s the proper facts – like price, processor, release date and updates made to the Android OS – that’ll eventually make or break Google’s first branded mobile phone.
If anything, a dull design will increase the chances of the Google Phone being a success – fewer quirky design features means there’s less to hate.

INQ’s Android phone is an interesting “boutique” piece of hardware, packed with unique interface customisations that go far beyond the headline Facebook integration. We like it a lot.
