Evernote, the very cool data and files synchronisation toy, popped up on the Android Market this morning, bringing with it its fantastic world of order, coordination and the calming knowledge that you’ll never have to fire up your work laptop just to get ONE BLOODY PARAGRAPH OF TEXT off it again.
Text notes, web links, photos, screengrabs of things you’re currently finding amusing on the internet and want to save to see if they’re still as amusing tomorrow – Evernote lets you record it all, then share it via the web. It’s a simple concept, and now your Android phone is “in the loop”. Brilliant.
TOP TIP:
If you don’t already have an Evernote account, sign up for one on the Evernote web site before downloading the Android app. You can create an account via your phone, but it asks for quite a lot of data (well, your name, email address and password) and you don’t want to have to do all that on a touch-screen keyboard if you can help it.
SECONDARY TIP:
If you’re seriously into your Google apps, there’s even an Evernote Extension for Google Chrome, to speed your note-taking up further still.

INQ’s Android phone is an interesting “boutique” piece of hardware, packed with unique interface customisations that go far beyond the headline Facebook integration. We like it a lot.
