The internet is going berserk over this mocked-up image of a new Android-powered tablet computer, produced by Notion Ink. So we’d better pretend to be excited about it as well, even though it has all the tell-tale curves and impossibly high-spec of a product that’s never going to emerge into the real world.
The Smartpad doesn’t exist yet, but when it does, it will apparently feature a massive 10.1″ screen running at 1024 x 600 and, so the makers say, will be able to output a 1080p proper HD video signal to your TV via HDMI. Sounds like a nonsense fantasy gadget to us, designed to get the maker a bit of free publicity.
It has worked. Here’s the pretend image, courtesy of Slashgear.
We’ll know more about the Notion Ink Smartpad in early January, like if it’s really real or not, when the Android-using tablet makes its live-flesh debut at 2010′s Consumer Electronics Show.

INQ’s Android phone is an interesting “boutique” piece of hardware, packed with unique interface customisations that go far beyond the headline Facebook integration. We like it a lot.
