They’re not joking about the “nano” thing – nanoTweeter only really exists as an options screen, which you set to check your Twitter account as often as you’d like it to. From then on, nanoTweeter pops all new Tweets in your timeline up as Notifications in your phone’s Android status bar, effectively turning the entire Google OS into a simple Twitter interface.
A sweet idea.
We’re sad to report that we suspect nanoTweeter of battery usage crimes, though – our HTC Magic was totally wiped out of a fully-charged battery overnight, and it was either nanoTweeter or Google Latitude’s fault. They were the only two things we’d been messing about with the night before. So it was one of ‘em.
Both have been deleted – Latitude’s pointless unless you really live the Google dream, and nanoTweeter’s a right pain in the arse when it starts clogging up your entire Notifications area if you haven’t looked at your phone for a while.
A clever little Android app, though. Just not for us.

INQ’s Android phone is an interesting “boutique” piece of hardware, packed with unique interface customisations that go far beyond the headline Facebook integration. We like it a lot.
