Mewbox, the new music-buying app for Android we did something about what seems like ages ago, has finally launched on the Android Market – with an updated v1.3 yours for the having right now. The finalised feature list now includes before-you-buy track previews, and the maker promises the beta version’s bugs have been killed.
Mewbox has also taken the bold step of releasing its promotional screenshots in LANDSCAPE format, which marks the first time we’ve featured a landscape format image on the site. Get ready for LANDSCAPE ACTION!
The Mewbox blog gives you all the proper details you need, although simply by looking at that screenshot we can tell you that UK tracks cost 75p a pop. Which isn’t bad.
Nice example music. EuroDroid is usually cobbled together with a mixture of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Lady Gaga’s ‘Bad Romance’ on a loop in the background, so Mewbox would appear to have got its target audience spot-on. Don’t like Rihanna much, though. She’s on there to help it appeal to different ‘demographics’.
Mewbox is out now on the Android Market, or you can get the Android APK from Mewbox direct, if you’re a bit more technically capable.

INQ’s Android phone is an interesting “boutique” piece of hardware, packed with unique interface customisations that go far beyond the headline Facebook integration. We like it a lot.
