RANDOM APP REVIEW: Google News (Regional)

This morning’s chosen-at-random Android Market App to review is newcomer Google News (Regional). It’s basically just a shortcut to the Google News page for your area, which the App is allegedly able to select automatically using your phone’s settings – but we had to manually tell it where we lived.

It’s not even that regional – the setting for the UK is just “UK”. It’s not local as in LOCAL MAN FINED £5 FOR STEALING PACKET OF CRISPS, which is what we were hoping for.

CONCLUSION:
Not really an App, more of a bookmark to Google News. Very pointless, but handy if you literally can’t be bothered typing “Google News” into your browser.
