BIG NEWS! Google has just shown off an Android version of its Google Earth app, demonstrating all the same 3D flying, zooming and searching options that are found in the desktop PC version.
All the features are coming to the Android version. There’s no launch date for the app as of yet, but the Google man played with a very complete-looking version at its Nexus press conference, so don’t expect to wait too long.
Here’s a placeholder photo of the PC version:
Google Earth will arrive for Android soon, and you don’t need a Nexus One to make it work – it’ll arrive in the App Store as a regular app.

INQ’s Android phone is an interesting “boutique” piece of hardware, packed with unique interface customisations that go far beyond the headline Facebook integration. We like it a lot.

/ January 6, 2010Don’t supopse you know if this will be compatible with Android 1.5 do you? Beginning to be a little frustrated with the T-Mobile Pulse seemingly being stuck on this version without any sign of an update…

/ January 6, 2010No idea as yet, they literally just waved it about for a few minutes at the press conference. I’ll add the Pulse to the 1.5 LIST OF SHAME along with the Samsung Galaxy.
