The staggeringly popular ShopSavvy Android app has been updated, with the 3.6 release now available on the Android Market.
This new version finally adds what users have been begging for – support for those old-people-bewildering QR Codes, letting us use ShopSavvy to download Android apps direct from web sites. And stickers. And everywhere. The app’s UI has also been updated, apparently, but we only just downloaded it today after Doctor Who finished, so can’t really comment.
More stats about the 3.6 Android version of ShopSavvy, including the fact that QR Code-reading is not yet supported in the iPhone version, ho-ho-ho, can be found over on the maker’s blog.
Frankly, ShopSavvy is all a bit AMERICA-themed to be od much use to us lot, but if you’re in the market for a barcode scanner that’s a bit more polished than what’s already out there, it’ll do.
