A market search for “whatgas” brings it up for me. I’m in the UK, though, and on Android 1.6. So you might need to be in the UK and not on Android 1.5.

This article is factually correct. I’m the developer of the WhatGas Petrol Prices app and the data is indeed community driven – it comes from the WhatGas website (hence the name). Check it out: http://www.whatgas.com.

Hi there – I was the develop who built AA Fuel Prices / Fuel Prices UK. The data is not community sourced, we pay a HUGE amount to Experian who maintain a complete database of UK fuel prices, 8,500 stations updated every day!

The Android Market is so eff’n biased it’s not even funny. The apps that are featured are almost always the same, the rotating banner at the top always shows the same ones and completely skips some categories as does the featured apps listing. It’s absolutely terrible.
