Motorola releases OTA Android 2.0.1 update for French MILESTONE

The MILESTONE updates are coming to Europe! In a post in the official Motorola Europe Facebook page, Motorola yesterday confirmed the arrival of its over-the-air firmware update for the MILESTONE.

It’s out now, bringing French MILESTONEs up to Android 2.0.1 status, with all the bug-fixes that build contains. American DROID owners have had this update for ages, which, among other things, fixes the embarrassing camera lag and glitches, beefs up Exchange email support and apparently enhances audio quality of calls.

If you select “France” as your region you can see the update on Motorola’s support site. Here is your visual confirmation:

Sadly, the update only applies to France right now – when questioned if/when the update would “roll out” in other countries, Motorola had no firm comment to make. But they are “on the way”. So relax and try to think about something else in the meantime.
