Samsung Galaxy Portal i5700 includes Layar 3.0 augmented reality app

The Galaxy Portal, which launched last week exclusively on T-Mobile in the UK, comes pre-installed with a copy of Layar – the bizarre “augmented reality” app that attempts to liven up real life by overlaying data on the top of your camera view screen.

At no point during the writing of this article did we laugh to ourselves about the iPhone version of Layar being pulled on Friday due to numerous crash reports. That would just be childish of us.

You can get the portal for £FREE right now at T-Mobile UK, if you sign up to a £20 a month contract.
