We don’t really care about this, as WP app wpToGo fills that gap amazingly well for us – but Mashable and the Blog Herald are both reporting that WordPress is gearing up to launch a custom publishing tool for Android very soon. Which will be nice, because as much as we love wpToGo it is a little… “barebones”.

The reason for an anticipated Android WP app? WordPress has registered the domain http://android.wordpress.org and although there’s nothing there at the moment (see above), it fits the modus operandi seen by the iPhone WordPress app and the BlackBerry one.
