We’ve been tracking Play.com‘s launch date for the Sony Ericsson X10 for a few months now, with it first being January 18, then February 19 – now Play tells us the X10 will – NO REALLY THIS TIME – finally arrive on March 29th.
This is almost believable, despite Play’s regular wolf-crying, seeing as Vodafone says it’ll be offering Sony Ericsson’s Big Glossy Sensuous Black Hope on standard subsidised tariffs from April.
The bad news is still the price – you’re still expected to pay £499 for the X10 at Play.com if you want an unlocked and SIM-free X10 option. That’s the Sony brand price premium in full effect.

INQ’s Android phone is an interesting “boutique” piece of hardware, packed with unique interface customisations that go far beyond the headline Facebook integration. We like it a lot.
