Super-niche browser maker Opera has announced it’ll be showing off Opera Mini for iPhone at MWC 2010 next week, a move that’s going to grab ALL the headlines – but there will be something on show for Android from the company in the form of a beta version of Opera Mobile 10.
It’s not as exciting.
Remember, Opera has two mobile products on the go – Opera Mini, which boasts a jazzier, simpler interface designed specifically for mobile devices, and the more standard browser-like Opera Mobile – which is already publicly available for Android in beta form over at http://www.opera.com/mobile if you want to hold your own mini MWC in your home today.

INQ’s Android phone is an interesting “boutique” piece of hardware, packed with unique interface customisations that go far beyond the headline Facebook integration. We like it a lot.

/ February 10, 2010Unless I’m missing something obvious, the Opera Mobile 10 beta is not publicly available for Android yet…

/ February 10, 2010Seeing as Opera Mini 4 is available in the market place, I would have though it would be Opera Mini 5 coming to Android, and not Opera Mobile.

/ February 10, 2010Opera Mini 5, as far as I’ve read, has barely begun being ported to Android (if it’s even started) but to hold off the masses they put out Opera Mobile. Either way, both suck and hopefully Firefox gets their mobile browser done sooner than later.
