Oh, we do love reporting on the amazing s**t-storm facing Motorola Europe at the moment, as its ex-fans complain, fight and spread their anger regarding the MILESTONE and its lack of updates and unfortunately locked bootloader.
Here’s a little video sent in by reader Andreas, which illustrates the reason they fight. It claims to be a subtitled version of a German MILESTONE advert, but…
Thanks, Andreas! Keep fighting the fight.

INQ’s Android phone is an interesting “boutique” piece of hardware, packed with unique interface customisations that go far beyond the headline Facebook integration. We like it a lot.

/ February 22, 2010I have no idea why these guys are fighting motorola. You can just update via the motorola website (I’ve done it for my brother). I don’t get it!

/ February 24, 2010We are fighting because the Milestone can NOT flash any custom/Non-motorola rom/system but the DROID (The US Milestone) can, and any other phone vendor let that too. As it has been advertise as a Droid and without limite ….
So if we had a free bootloader we could fix and update our phone without waiting for Motorola to do/want so (How long would Moto continue to provide update fo the phone … )
Best Regards
PS: There is numerous bugs that could be fix or enhanced by the community and Motorola does not provide the update in the same schedule depending on were you live (Latin America still has only the stock 2.0 for ex.)
