We’ve been tracking Play.com’s launch date for the Sony Ericsson X10 for a few months now, with it first being January 18, then February 19 – now Play tells us the X10 will – NO REALLY THIS TIME – finally arrive on March 29th.
This is almost believable, despite Play’s regular wolf-crying, seeing as Vodafone says it’ll be offering Sony Ericsson’s Big Glossy Sensuous Black Hope on standard subsidised tariffs from April.
The bad news is still the price – you’re still expected to pay £499 for the X10 at Play.com if you want an unlocked and SIM-free X10 option. That’s the Sony brand price premium in full effect.
