Well, that’s a pretty emphatic victory for Android. David Kerrigan, 3 Mobile UK‘s Head of Internet Service, is quoted by Mobile News today as promising the network will launch SIX new Android phones over the next three months, as the UK operator looks to boost its association with the currently-on-fire Android name.
So what, that’ll be the HTC Desire, the Legend, the Samsung Portal, a couple of those “entry level” options from Acer and… another one. But that’s just us guessing. David also confirmed these new Android phones would support Spotify, too, saying:
“The Spotify application will be available on all Android devices we launch on the network. These applications have been important in driving mobile data and will be available as an add-on for all contract tariffs going forward”
Here’s one 3 launched earlier:
3 currently only sells the one Android phone – the lovely HTC Hero pictured there – which it offers on a couple of tariffs, a standard £25 monthly deal and a more fancy £35 monthly package that includes a “free” subscription to Spotify Premium, for all you music-loving hipsters out there.

INQ’s Android phone is an interesting “boutique” piece of hardware, packed with unique interface customisations that go far beyond the headline Facebook integration. We like it a lot.
