Popping up for download today is a new puzzle game called Abyss, which is developed by Concrete Software – the maker of the very well-received isometric puzzler Nintaii. It’s basically a Tetris clone with a twist, challenging players to work out how to build a clear path through the blocks.
Here’s the official description:
“Abyss is an original Tetris-like puzzle game that challenges you to rearrange colored pieces by sliding them horizontally and vertically to create a path for your pearls across the abyss. Hurry, the faster you complete each level, the more points you receive! You’ll never get bored with the UNLIMITED number of puzzles!”
And here are some pics, in case that description was not evocative enough for you:
Abyss is launching today at the price of $2.99 – but don’t panic, there’s a free “Lite” demo version also up on the Market right now if you’re still not that into paying for your gaming.

INQ’s Android phone is an interesting “boutique” piece of hardware, packed with unique interface customisations that go far beyond the headline Facebook integration. We like it a lot.
