There’s a suspiciously “studio-based” look to this stunning demo of alternate Android keyboard Swype in action, but it’s still a damn good look at the sort of things the gesture-based text system is capable of if you put the man-hours in and really learn how to use it properly.
Here’s a man typing out the sentence “The razor-toothed piranhas of the genera Serrasalmus and Pygocentrus are the most ferocious freshwater fish in the world. In reality they seldom attack a human” using Swype:

INQ’s Android phone is an interesting “boutique” piece of hardware, packed with unique interface customisations that go far beyond the headline Facebook integration. We like it a lot.

After using it more and more I’m finding myself getting quite confortable with SlideIT. Defnitely feels a lot “lighter” than swype.
