While us lucky Western people get to dribble excitedly over the thought of getting a go on a Samsung Galaxy S some time later in the year, Samsung’s not forgotten about the more affordable end of the range – or how much MONEY it could make from capturing a slice of the Android market in China.
Hence this. According to SamsungHub, the China-bound I6500U is powered by Android 2.1, features Samsung’s favoured 800MHz processor option and that 3.2″ screen uses AMOLED tech for a bit of extra jazzy brightness. The rest of the tech is pure Android by-numbers – wi-fi, USB 2.0, and FM radio, microSD slot and GPS.
It’d do. You wouldn’t boast about it, but it’d definitely do.

INQ’s Android phone is an interesting “boutique” piece of hardware, packed with unique interface customisations that go far beyond the headline Facebook integration. We like it a lot.
