Google’s “Device Seeding Program” underway – free phones heading out to developers soon

Oh yes, we are jealous about this. Google has kicked off its scheme to send out free Android phones to its favourite developers, as part of the Device Seeding Program that’s underway at the moment.

Let’s just hope Michael Quach isn’t getting a free Nexus One or Motorola DROID for all his efforts. Here’s the email Google is sending out to its validated developer friends today, courtesy of a developer we haven’t slagged off recently:

Dear Xxxx,
We’ve received your information for the Android Market Device Seeding Program and have successfully validated the Google Order Number from your developer account.

Your information will now be sent to our shipping partner for order processing. Just to confirm, the information we received from you was:

Xxxxxxxx Games

XXX personal data XXX

If you need to make any changes to your information above, please contact us at android-market-seeding@google.com as soon as possible. Otherwise, you should receive your phone in 2-4 weeks!

On behalf of the Android team,
Thanks, and happy coding!

Is it too late for us to hurriedly knock together a RSS-feed of the site, upload it to the Android Market and join the freebie fun?
