Nintendo DS game Ghostwire also coming to Android & iPhone

Ghostwire: Link to the Paranormal, is a particularly terrifying little ghost game for the Nintendo DS based around picking up ghostly transmissions via wi-fi signals, then overlaying hideous beasts over real locations, augmented reality style.

Which means there could be a ghost in YOUR HOUSE, right beside that heap of untidy cables next to the telephone. The maker of Ghostwire told attendees at the recent Games Developers Conference that Android and iPhone versions are in planning stages, which gets us pretty excited. For a Tuesday.

For some odd reason, Ghostwire’s been picking up a load of mainstream press interest, probably thanks to this terrifying trailer that makes augmented ghost-hunting seem like the most shocking game idea yet. An Android version would be superb, so yes please.

We will at least play the free demo for five minutes. Via Joystiq.
