VIDEO: Xpectroid 1.0, a new ZX Spectrum emulator for Android

If you were alive and old enough at the time to remember the early-to-mid 1980s, chances are you have a soft spot for the old ZX Spectrum home computer. And this thing is Xpectroid 1.0, a remake of iPhone Spectrum emulator iXpectrum for Android, that handles emulation of the regular 48K Speccy, as well as the 128K and Plus 2 versions. Here’s the spec sheet from the just-published Android Market listing:

- Accurate audio, Stereo beeper ABC. AY support.

- Image smoothing. Original or full screen with aspect ratio options. Border cropping option.

- Multitouch control. DPAD.

- Touchable,physical & virtual Keyboard.

- Tape support, TZX turbo. Tape browser.
