You may remember, long ago when EuroDroid was still in embryonic stage, we mentioned a particularly impressive game called Newton – which was the work (in progress) of a chap called Mario AKA Badlogic Games.
Well, the completed version of Newton is now up on the Android Market for downloading as from today, in both paid-for and ad-supported options. Here’s a bit more of an explanation about it from the makers:
“I published it in December 2009 and have just found the time to finish it with the two other people. We have two versions now, an ad supported one and a paid one (0.99€). The two versions only differ in the amount of available levels (the lite version has 27 new, the paid 70 new) as well as the fact that there are no ads in the paid version.
“Both versions feature the level editor as well as the level uploading/downloading stuff. I don’t want to screw our players so i think it’s good that both versions have the same feature set. We don’t plan on making big amounts of money with it anyways :) The paid version is more like a donation thing for people that want to support our efforts”
And the customary screenshots for the word-shy:
We’re also pleased to report that the developer now has a proper web site, plus the Lite version of Newton has surpassed the 10,000 downloads mark according to third-party Android Market stats. Well done all!

INQ’s Android phone is an interesting “boutique” piece of hardware, packed with unique interface customisations that go far beyond the headline Facebook integration. We like it a lot.
