You probably don’t spend that much time reading Google’s official Android Market site, seeing as it’s a quite appalling “read only” collection of rather out-of-date information on a seemingly random selection of apps. It is the one area of Android unlikely to have Steve Jobs losing any sleep.
However, Google’s Android Market site has now been given a refresh. A visual refresh, as there’s still no way to buy apps online or even search for apps by name. This terribly under-developed public site remains one of the biggest and most puzzling RUBBISH THINGS about Google’s approach to Android.
Here’s the “new” look:
And that’s it. The same uselessly tiny collection of highlighted apps, with no search, no shopping facilities and no phone sync options. Only now looking a bit nicer. A bewildering waste of time. Link via TechCrunch.

INQ’s Android phone is an interesting “boutique” piece of hardware, packed with unique interface customisations that go far beyond the headline Facebook integration. We like it a lot.
