We’ve just received a little email from the maker of BlackBook, a new-to-Android conversion of a BlackBerry app designed to hide away your contacts from anyone that might see things they DO NOT LIKE.
There’s no icon for BlackBook, you simply access the SECRETS contained within its special contacts directory (call logs, texts and contacts) by dialing a SPECIAL NUMBER through the Android dialer. Here’s the description:
“Keep your contacts hidden with BlackBook’s completely hidden contact list, accessible only by dialling a customizable phone number on your Android powered Smartphone. Sensitive calls and contacts are completely hidden on your phone. Protect your contacts personal information with BlackBook”
And make sure you turn off the option that automatically retweets all your drunken text messages to ex-girlfriends [JOKE].
If you panic a bit when the lady friend idly picks up your phone and starts randomly leafing through the screens to see why you like it so much, this could help. Personally, we advise keeping an entirely spare SIM card hidden between a gap in the floorboards, but it’s up to you.

INQ’s Android phone is an interesting “boutique” piece of hardware, packed with unique interface customisations that go far beyond the headline Facebook integration. We like it a lot.
