HOT off the virtual minutae newswire that is Twitter, we bring details of a plan-change for the UK release of the amazing-looking Samsung Galaxy S Android phone from online retailer Expansys – which says the phone will now arrive in the UK on June 17.
Expansys itself is selling the 8GB version of the Galaxy S unlocked and SIM-free for a rather large £479.99, which is the premium you have to pay for all that baffling Super-AMOLED technology we suppose.

Personally, we’re holding out for a good deal for the 16GB Galaxy S through Vodafone – if it’s on some affordable tariffs this may well be our actual next Android phone.

INQ’s Android phone is an interesting “boutique” piece of hardware, packed with unique interface customisations that go far beyond the headline Facebook integration. We like it a lot.
