As of tomorrow, June 1st, Google’s Nexus One will officially be made available through another European network – thanks to Vodafone launching the REBORN Android phone in the country, both on monthly tariffs and SIM-free for those able to think ahead and see past the illusion of “free” phone deals.
Here’s a bit more of an explanation, courtesy of the press release:
“Starting 1 June, customers can acquire the Nexus One at Vodafone stores across Italy for EUR 199, in combination with a Vodafone Piu’ Facile tariff plan. Customers who opt for a data plan can acquire the device for EUR 29. Vodafone Italy also offers the Nexus One smartphone for EUR 499, without contract”
And here’s the good old stock image. We don’t see it very often these days:
We’re still waiting for a better deal than Vodafone UK’s £25 per month offering, then we might jump aboard. It’s between this and the Galaxy S for us at the moment. If you’re interested. And we doubt you are.

INQ’s Android phone is an interesting “boutique” piece of hardware, packed with unique interface customisations that go far beyond the headline Facebook integration. We like it a lot.
