NEW GAME: Prism 3D

There’s a floating 3D maze and you’re looking down on it. The idea is to steer a bouncy ball through the hazards, accumulating points and bonuses as you go by waving about your phone and using the accelerometer to angle the screen and bounce the ball in the desired direction. And don’t fall off.

We like games it’s possible to summarise in three simple sentences. Here’s the official description, just in case we’ve left any important features out, like, say, a dedicated level editor:

“Prism 3D is a totally new game testing players alertness and nimbleness with an accelerometer-controlled ball bouncing off 3D tiles. It features incredibly smooth graphics. Players can create their own levels through a dedicated level editor. The games includes infinity mode and global leaderboard.

“Full version (GBP 1.49) contains all the above mentioned features and 25 built-in levels. There is also a free demo version with 3 levels only, stripped out of the most of the features available in the full version”

Developer HyperBees sent us a few screenshots of Prism 3D in action, but we thought it’d be nice to GO ROGUE and take a few of our own.

The frame rate isn’t the best on our humble HTC Magic, but while it’s a little slow it is at least consistent – so the game’s perfectly playable. And perfectly good. If you’d like to test how well Prism 3D runs on your Android handset, there’s a free demo up on the Android Market – while the full version costs £1.49 if you are ready to COMMIT.

Here’s a couple of QR codes – free demo on the left, paid version to the right:
