WEEKLY WRAP: Elsewhere in Android this week

Time for our weekly spreading of love, and a small amount of cathartic hate, around the rest of the Android world, via the Weekly Wrap – our summary of the news we didn’t do this week.

The leftovers, plus the things we didn’t understand well enough to write about properly, plus any mainstream mentions Google’s OS picked up from interesting places. Everything else.

SlingPlayer Mobile for Android hits UK shores
Can you actually buy SlingPlayer devices in the UK? (UPDATE: Yes. Crikey.)

GetJar plans to pay publishers to kickstart paid game downloads
File this one under industry news. Industry news we were in too much of a hurry to properly comprehend at the time.

Apple expands patent infringement suit against HTC
See above.

Thanks for reading for another week. It was a tough one due to the mammoth template changes required to accommodate the X10 Mini ad campaign. That won’t be around for ever, so apologies if it’s impacting on your browsing experience at the moment.
