UK tech news portal Techradar has an exclusive on Orange’s future plans for the UK, reporting that the network is readying “Project JAL” for launch – which will be an Android-powered Vodafone 845 rival down at the super-cheap end of the tariff ranges.
According to Techradar’s source, the phone will be a “slim tablet-style device with no keyboard, with a 3MP camera and running Android 2.1″ – and here’s what it looks like:
Looks rather nice, to be fair – certainly a little more aspirational than the Orange Boston, the entry level Android 1.6 phone the network sells in mainland Europe. Anyone recognise the maker of this? Is it another rebadged Huawei?

INQ’s Android phone is an interesting “boutique” piece of hardware, packed with unique interface customisations that go far beyond the headline Facebook integration. We like it a lot.
