Only a few weeks ago we were AMAZED that Orange was doing the brand new Samsung Galaxy Apollo for £189 on a pay-as-you-go tariff – now it’s gone one better.
Or rather, it’s gone 30 better, as you can now get an Apollo through Orange UK for £159. The phone itself is only £149, but you have to spend at least £10 on a SIM card top-up with it, bringing the deal up to £159. Which, for a Samsung-branded Android phone, is rather a good deal.
We asked Orange if we can have one of these to review, as we’d quite like to see what you get for such a good price from Samsung. But no one replied. Perhaps we were too jovial and offhand in our introductory email? We’ll never know. It’s a hard one to call.
Some people appreciate jovial and offhand, but it can also be mistaken for a lack of professionalism. It is a tightrope we are yet to successfully negotiate, both in real life and on the internet.

INQ’s Android phone is an interesting “boutique” piece of hardware, packed with unique interface customisations that go far beyond the headline Facebook integration. We like it a lot.
