Report: European HTC Desire getting “FroYo” Android 2.2 update tomorrow

According to this Dutch-language Android site, the HTC Desire will start seeing an upgrade to Android 2.2 from tomorrow – at least in the Benelux-branded part of Europe.

The news comes via the Twitter account of HTC Benelux director Mark Moons, who spilled the rather spectacular beans like so:

When run through a translator, that comes out as “We start later more devices as from morning with the upgrades to Android 2.2 for Desire” – which we are assured by the human translator from Android World translates as Android 2.2 for the Desire, tomorrow.

    Given that I have a black Orange-branded Desire, I presume that I’ll be receiving FroYo some time in the second half of December?

    RUMORS!!!!! HTC has confirmed that there is no information on HTC Desire updates today! See below:

    It wasn’t a rumour. It was a man very high-up at HTC saying, in very certain terms, it was coming the next day.
