T-Mobile UK has finally released the UK-specific version of its Android 2.1 update for the T-Mobile Pulse, an update that was first released in Hungary a few months ago.
If you’re still working with a T-Mobile Pulse, go get your new Android 2.1 from T-Mobile UK here. Those Hungarians aren’t so smug, now.

The T-Mobile Pulse is still available through T-Mo UK, on a pay-as-you-go contract for £149.99. It’s been superceded by many new PAYG Android phones, but will still get the job done.

INQ’s Android phone is an interesting “boutique” piece of hardware, packed with unique interface customisations that go far beyond the headline Facebook integration. We like it a lot.

/ August 6, 2010Fantastic. I’ve been running my own custom 2.1 ROM on the Pulse based loosly on the Hungarian ROM so I’m interested to see if T-Mobile UK have made some improvements or have just released the Hungarian ROM.
40seconds to finish downloading then time to extract the update :)

/ August 6, 2010Now on my phone too. Still unlikely to have any HTC Desire owners jealous, but a smooth update.

/ August 19, 2010Seems like T-Mobile have pulled the update from their website. I’m guessing there have been problems reported with it?

“Hi,
We want to give all of our customers a great experience when they use our products and services. After receiving feedback on the recent T-Mobile Pulse Android 2.1 software update we’ve decided to suspend it temporarily. We’re working with the phone’s makers on an updated version which is expected in October.
Any customer experiencing issues with the Android 2.1 update on the T-Mobile Pulse should reinstall the December 2009 Android 1.5 software offered on our help and support website here.
