We’ve not had a fiddle with an LG Optimus, but you can’t really go wrong with a 2010-model Android phone for £109, can you? The Optimus, AKA the LG GT540, features a 3megapixel camera and a 320 x 480 resolution 3″ screen, so it’s rather an impressive piece of tech at this bottom-end of the price range.
It’s being offered for £109 at Mobiles.co.uk.
There’s an extra £10 added to the order at checkout, as you’re made to buy an O2 pay-as-you-go SIM card along with the handset. But even so…
£30? For a phone case? It had better be good.

A slim and glamorous phone from Sony Ericsson, with the sharpest display around. It’s no powerhouse and the screen’s not the biggest out there, but we don’t mind. Because it’s cute.
LG’s first glasses-free 3D phone is a heavy, fat monster, with a clever 3D effect that works rather well. As a smartphone, though, it’s heavy and underwhelming.
