WEEKLY WRAP: Elsewhere in Android this week

Time for our list-based summary of the Android news WE DID NOT cover this week, in which we round up the Android-based reports we skipped – and marvel at the stranger mentions of Google’s OS in the mainstream press.

So what have we missed and ignored this week? This lot. In no particular order of importance:

A bit too tech for us. It’s just the usual tale of rich people shuffling their millions about, anyway, isn’t it? Nothing will change. Nothing ever changes.

Amazing. Consumer magazine Which? did something on the Android 2.x unlock pattern finger smudge security vulnerability! They call it the “smudge attack” so it sounds serious.

Google Android mobile versus iPhone 4, tested by Dan Snow
Dan Snow likes the Motorola Milestone more than the iPhone 4. Good on you, Dan. Just you wait until you next upgrade your phone.

Will Amazon produce its own Android tablet?
Best not, eh? Leave it to the Koreans.

Motorola axing MOTOBLUR Android skin? Not quite
This story exploded around the internet, even though it was just the Motorola man saying he wasn’t going to talk about MotoBlur quite so much from now on.

Acer Stream review
“The worst, most confusing Android 2.1 skin we’ve tested yet”

That’s more than enough for one week. Thanks for reading and thanks for scrolling all the way down, those of you that have scrolled all the way down. See you all later.
