Independent online retailer Mobiles.co.uk has a couple of intriguing new listings on its site, with the much-leaked HTC Desire HD and the lesser-spotted HTC Desire Z currently up and teasing those after a new Android phone.
The HTC Desire HD we know all about and are expecting HTC to reveal officially on September 15, but the Desire Z is much more of an unknown. Here’s what Mobiles.co.uk says about the Desire Z:
“The HTC Desire Z combines a vivid 3.7 inch touchscreen display with a slide out full QWERTY keyboard making it perfect for browsing the web and messaging friends. Running Android 2.1, users can download new apps, customise the user interface with interactive shortcuts and transform their Desire Z into a SatNav with free turn by turn voice navigation from Google Maps. Powered by a 1GHz processor, the Desire Z also sports HTC’s Sense UI which keeps you up to date with all your friends thanks to live updates from your favourite social networks. Also included is HSDPA and Wi-Fi”
So… that’ll be the QWERTY Android phone previously known as the HTC Vision, then? And here’s the site’s official blurb regarding the HTC Desire HD:

Motorola’s latest flagship dual-core Android monster is a massive, original powerhouse, that’s a big improvement on previous MOTOBLUR mobiles – but still isn’t a total winner.
A slim and glamorous phone from Sony Ericsson, with the sharpest display around. It’s no powerhouse and the screen’s not the biggest out there, but we don’t mind. Because it’s cute.
LG’s first glasses-free 3D phone is a heavy, fat monster, with a clever 3D effect that works rather well. As a smartphone, though, it’s heavy and underwhelming.
A very shiny thing from Sony Ericsson, with a 3.7″ screen and Android 2.3.3 inside. But is it exciting enough to win fans in today’s spec-obsessed market? Can man live on one core alone?
INQ’s Android phone is an interesting “boutique” piece of hardware, packed with unique interface customisations that go far beyond the headline Facebook integration. We like it a lot.
