Tips to Becoming Famous is no-doubt a well-meaning app, of similar type to the many advice-based spam web sites out there designed to hoover up Google spots for every conceivable search term that might come to mind. It’s basically a “think positive” e-book.
Here’s the description:
“Tips to Becoming Famous will give you all the advice you need to become that famous person you’ve always wanted to be. You’ll learn that being famous doesn’t have to mean you have some great talent. Even if you’re not a great singer or actor you can still achieve the fame you’ve been looking for”
But a $4.99 price tag? Is someone really working to the business model that people are so desperate to be famous they’ll pay $4.99 for an app containing some sincere advice about “trying very hard”?
Weird. Suddenly the idea of Steve Jobs having to give everything the Royal Two Thumbs Up before it’s allowed into the supply chain seems a little more appealing.

INQ’s Android phone is an interesting “boutique” piece of hardware, packed with unique interface customisations that go far beyond the headline Facebook integration. We like it a lot.
