We’re not usually that “into” music generation apps, but you can’t deny the tempting majesty of the below demonstration video. If you fancy making what some people would refer to as a “banging tune” on your Android phone, you might want to give Mikrosonic RD3 Groovebox app a go.
It’s a combo synth, drum machine and mixer, presented in the classic Roland style. And rather simple to use.

The bad news is you need an Android 2.1 or higher phone (but that’s becoming less of an issue by the day) and it costs a small amount of money – €3.49 via the Android Market.




INQ’s Android phone is an interesting “boutique” piece of hardware, packed with unique interface customisations that go far beyond the headline Facebook integration. We like it a lot.
