The Android Community site has grabbed itself a nice little exclusive today, getting hands-on time with two forthcoming Android handsets set to hit the UK’s Carphone Warehouse quite soon – a silver HTC Wildfire and a white HTC Desire.
Android Community says the phones will arrive for the “holiday season” which is American for “Christmas”. Here’s the white Desire:
Very nice indeed, so much prettier than the original phone’s brave use of brown.
UPDATE:
According to Mobile Mag, the Alcatel OT-980 Android slider will also be a CPW exclusive. One for you budget phone fans, there.

INQ’s Android phone is an interesting “boutique” piece of hardware, packed with unique interface customisations that go far beyond the headline Facebook integration. We like it a lot.

/ September 9, 2010Looks pretty but I think I’d prefer one that doesn’t stand out so much. If you don’t like brown and aren’t keen on white you could always check out the HTC Desire black edition (exclusive to Orange here in the UK, just remember to de brand it).

/ September 9, 2010There’s hardly any brown on the “brown” Desire. Well it’s more like copper anyway, and it’s literally just a thin strip around the edge of the screen. I actually think it looks more stylish than black but that is entirely subjective.

/ September 9, 2010I had a choice brown or black – went straight for the black – although this white version looks quite nice!
