The long-rumoured Orange San Francisco has been confirmed by the network today, which has put out a video and a few high-res photographs of its latest Android phone.
It’s a decent spec, coming with Android 2.1, a 3megapixel camera, support for 32GB micro SD cards, FM radio and it’s all been shoveled (by ZTE) into a pretty slim and stylish case. Which looks like this:
The Orange San Francisco is available for a rather amazing £99 on pay as you go contracts. Orange says you should be able to find it on its shop right now, but we can’t see a listing for it at time of furiously typing these words.
Here’s Orange’s consumer-facing PR man Conor, who’s done a video all about it:
And here’s the full press release:

/ September 21, 2010they have tried to make this look like a number of different handsets, most notably the name of the phone above the screen looks like Sony Ericsson

/ September 21, 2010Perhaps now they have their own branded little toys to play with they will stop wasting thier, and our, time putting bloatware on phones like the Desire.
Simon
/ September 21, 2010It’s not mentioned in the article but the device has a 600MHz MSM7227 CPU and a 3.5″ 480×800 capacitive AMOLED screen. Can’t go wrong for £99!

/ September 21, 2010That’s insane. Are you sure ZTE hasn’t switched screens? It was odd that Orange made no mention of the screen size/tech whatsoever in the release.

/ September 21, 2010I’m going by what I’ve read elsewhere (Engadget and others). It’s the same specs as the ZTE Racer apart from the screen.
