One of the guys from Sony Ericsson’s Product blog has shot a little film showing the updated Xperia X10 OS in action. Which means Android 2.1 features like the new lock system and expanded home screens, live wallpaper, along with new Sony Ericsson customisations like a tighter icon layout on the big X10.
Plus there’s a very nice little recent calls widget, should you be the sort of person who uses their mobile telephone to actually make mobile telephone calls, rather than just staring at Twitter all day to avoid interpersonal contact with others.
The late October roll out start date was also confirmed, which is nice. Head off over to SE’s blog, where there’s a couple of other videos showing off the new update’s fancy continuous autofocus option for video recording.

INQ’s Android phone is an interesting “boutique” piece of hardware, packed with unique interface customisations that go far beyond the headline Facebook integration. We like it a lot.
