This is a lovely, tight little niche production – an Android app for those smartphone owners out there who also happen to be into skydiving. Skydiving Logbook does what the title suggests, providing a way for parachuting enthusiasts to log their various jumps.
Here’s the app’s description. It works for both people who jump out of things that fly and people who jump off things that don’t fly! It’s so incredibly versatile:
Skydiving Logbook is a logbook application dedicated to people that like to jump out of things that fly, or off of things that don’t fly.
Features include:
* Log jumps
* View stats
* Manage your gear
* Manage your DZ’s
* Manage your aircraft
* Calculate wing loading
* Import/export for backing up and printing
And screenshots of it in action:
Please don’t take offence, skydiving enthusiasts. We don’t want to make enemies with any extreme sports enthusiasts, as they tend to be significantly harder than us internet geeks.

INQ’s Android phone is an interesting “boutique” piece of hardware, packed with unique interface customisations that go far beyond the headline Facebook integration. We like it a lot.
