In a slightly odd move for a maker of physical e-books, Sony has revealed it’ll be launching iPhone and Android versions of its Reader software this December.
The apps will bring all of the functionality of Sony’s Reader series to Android, with users able to make their own bookmarks and notes, also adjusting font sizes to suit your screen resolution and level of eyesight.
Any books purchased through Sony’s Reader store through your Reader or PC will then be accessible on your smartphone. A very small amount of extra information can be found over on Sony’s Reader site.

INQ’s Android phone is an interesting “boutique” piece of hardware, packed with unique interface customisations that go far beyond the headline Facebook integration. We like it a lot.

/ November 23, 2010Interesting that they chose Stieg Larsson books to advertise this.
His writings can only wish that they might be described as turgid. The ‘girl’ books are barely disguised onanistic aids. He casts himself as the hero, solves (what he obviously considers to be) exciting and complicated mysteries – involving teh interwebs – and also manages to temporarily ‘turn’ a lesbian with his charm.
Not saying I’m glad he’s dead, but I’m glad he’s not writing any more.
