The much more promising (than the 10″ Windows/Android hybrid) ViewSonic ViewPad 7 7″ Android tablet is now on sale in the UK, with retailer Expansys stocking the thing right now – for a total price of £299.
As with ViewSonic’s launch of the ViewPad 10, the ViewPad 7 comes with the same laptop trade-in scheme, where you’re able to claim a £100 rebate after your purchase of the tablet by sending your receipt off to ViewSonic for a refund if you buy it from one of the participating retailers.
Which takes the price of the ViewPad 7 down to £299. Here are the tech specs of the ViewPad 7 – highlights are the capacitive screen and Android 2.2, which will get the job done. And ViewSonic has managed to get full Android Market access onto the ViewPad 7, too.

INQ’s Android phone is an interesting “boutique” piece of hardware, packed with unique interface customisations that go far beyond the headline Facebook integration. We like it a lot.
