We’ve taken it upon ourselves to document all the weird Android tablets out there, and one range that looks quite promising is the Slate 5″ and 8″ Android machines from UK-based manufacturer View Quest.
And by “promising” we mean “cheap” – the 5″ Slate 5 model is listed on View Quest’s site as arriving with a £149 price tag attached to it, while the Slate 8 is down as £199. Here’s a lady with nice fingernails having a demonstration of both models:
Neither version appears to be on sale anywhere yet, so we’ll let you know when it launches. There’s probably a boat load of them coming in from China at this very moment.

INQ’s Android phone is an interesting “boutique” piece of hardware, packed with unique interface customisations that go far beyond the headline Facebook integration. We like it a lot.

/ November 30, 2010Christ on a bike, “1.5 is the most stable version out there, there are issues with the other versions like 2.1, 2.2″. Er… I smell the smell of …er… bullshit.
Well, thats another one I’m not going to buy then.
10 out of 10 for those nails, 4 out of 10 for the tablet.
