Wet Cement is an astonishing new Android social/sharing/location app, which exists for the SOLE PURPOSE of guiding Android users to their nearest patch of wet cement. It lets people tag and upload cement locations, overlaying moist infrastructure building works on a Google Maps layout.
It’s certainly original. Here’s the description:
WetCement is an Android app that lets users find or share locations of newly poured wet cement.
Features:
+ GeoTag WetCement locations quickly and easily
+ Search for WetCement locations
+ Get notified when WetCement is found near youDisclaimer – This app does not encourage people to write in wet cement
The makers of Wet Cement have even registered a domain name and created a fancy Flash demonstration of the app (and done a Twitter, a Facebook and an as-yet empty Flickr page). They clearly anticipate becoming moist cement millionaires.
The suspiciously slick web site leads us to suspect this is in fact some sort of art piece or a joke personal project. But it’s a good one and they’ve used the HTC Magic in their promotional imagery, so we’re happy to make it appear as if we have been fooled.

INQ’s Android phone is an interesting “boutique” piece of hardware, packed with unique interface customisations that go far beyond the headline Facebook integration. We like it a lot.
